FAQ

How do I order a pie for the week of Thanksgiving?
To order, go to our Thanksgiving 2023 page. www.ilovepiebakeshopholidays.com (You’re here already 😉 fyi) Select the pies you’d like to add to the cart and follow the prompts. All orders for major holidays (such as Thanksgiving and Christmas) are online. Please do not email your order.

I didn’t place an order online, will you have extra pies on Wednesday 11/22?
Yes, we will have a selection of pies available first come first serve on Wednesday starting just after 12 p.m. Please note last year we had a few folks start to line up 1-2 hours before our opening time. There will be a 4-pie max at the counter this year if no order is placed in advance. We plan on having PLENTY extra pies. Last year our pies made it until the end of the day before we sold out right before closing. You can always call ahead for availability but we do have a high volume of calls during this time. We have lots of help on our team and will do our best to help everyone in person and on the phone as quickly as possible.

I want to order a pie the weekend after Thanksgiving, but I don’t see that available online?
You’ll have to order this through the main site and those dates and times are available online. This site and online store (you’re currently on now) is only for ordering for Thanksgiving. All orders for items before and after can be made through or main store. You can call or email your order as well but it will have to be no later than a week prior. Usually, 1-2 days is sufficient but due to staffing, we will need to know by Saturday 11/18/23.

How do I make a change to an order I already placed?
We cannot make changes to existing orders. If you would like to add to your order, unfortunately, you will need to place another order. Your original pick-up time might not be available anymore if so which is something to keep in mind. If you need to change the types of pies, you will need to cancel your order and place a new order. There is a cancellation fee of 5% to cover our time and credit card fees.

I want to pick up my order earlier in the week but only Wednesday is available online. Can I pick it up on Monday or Tuesday?
Unfortunately, we need to block time to make the pies for our Thanksgiving orders so our store will be closed Sunday (11/19) – Tuesday (11/21). We will also be closed on Thursday 11/24 and Friday 11/25 to give our team rest and time with their families following the holiday.

I had a change of plans and need to cancel my order. How do I do that?
Please email us your cancellation request. If it is before 11/09/23, we will issue you a refund minus a 10% cancellation fee. We will send you an email acknowledging your request. Afterward, please allow up to a week to see the refund back onto the card/account you used to place the order. No refunds are available after 11/10/22.

Do you offer a vegan or gluten-free option?
We have vegan pie options this year. Please see our Thanksgiving 2023 Page for a list of items. We do not offer gluten-free at this time.

I want to order a pie from the menu but can an ingredient be excluded due to preferences or allergies?
We don’t take custom orders during holidays. We don’t have the resources or time to handle individual orders. We have learned the hard way that these can fall through the cracks among so many pies and we would hate to disappoint you.

I don’t see my favorite pie on the menu. Can I order it for Thanksgiving?

Unfortunately, no. Our Thanksgiving menu is limited due to the volume of orders we receive. Keeping our menu limited helps us streamline the production process and allows us to serve as many customers as possible and not lose track of a pie or have specialty orders fall through the cracks.

I placed an order online and I need to pick it up before the window of time I selected. Will my pies be ready earlier?
Pre-orders cannot be changed to an earlier time. We are making all pies as fresh as possible and are packaging pies up prior to each pickup window. If you come earlier, your pies will not be ready. For example, if your pick-up window is 2 pm – 3 pm, your pie will not be ready before 2pm. We also intentionally do this to spread our customers out throughout the day so folks don’t have to wait long to pick up their orders.

I’m going to be running late – can I pick up my order after my pick-up window?
Yes. We will hold your order until you pick it up. Please know that we will be closing after the last scheduled pickup – at 6pm sharp. We highly recommend calling us to let us know you’ll be running behind. Our holiday hours will be posted online. Any orders not picked up before closing at 6pm will be forfeited, unfortunately.

I’m not going to make it before you are scheduled to close, can you please wait for me? Unfortunately, we cannot stay late past our scheduled time. Any pies not picked up by the end of the day on your scheduled pick-up date are forfeited and refunds cannot be issued. We are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Friday after.

Why don’t I see my desired pick-up window of time when I’m placing my order?
We have pick-ups during most of the day on 11/22 Wednesday. If you don’t see a pickup window you would like, it could be full or unavailable. We allow a certain number of orders per window, so customers don’t have to wait long and to continue baking our orders fresh throughout the day. We cannot make any exceptions unfortunately as we do get asked every year. We recommend getting your order in early so you can have your choice of times available.

I only want a slice or a mini pie but I don’t see that as an option.

We have had a lot of discrepancies with orders when we have two size options. Customers sometimes order the wrong size on accident. We are trying to make as many people happy and most people desire larger pies. Unfortunately, sometimes folks come to pick up their pies only to find they ordered the wrong size and it creates a whole problem at the pickup counter, with the kitchen as we try to find a way to accommodate our customers, including setting us behind on our schedule. We’ve decided to only offer larger full size 8 pies for preordering for Thanksgiving. We hope you understand and we apologize for the inconvenience.
